How My Book Reviews Work

The majority of my book reviews are spoiler free however, on my list of reviews any marked with an asterisk (*) do contain spoilers, so if you haven’t read the book I advise against reading the review!

5 stars – I love this book – that’s essentially it. I feel as though there are few (if any) faults with the book. The characters, the plot, the writing is all fantastic and I highly recommend it. However, it might not necessarily be a new favourite, but I will state if it is.

4 stars – It’s still pretty good and there’s probably a few little trivial things which bothered me but nothing major. It’s still a really good book and I still really recommend it but it’s just not quite there.

3 stars – It’s okay – it’s not fantastic, but it’s not bad either. I wasn’t blown away but I still enjoyed it. I may have a few “problems” with this book, which I couldn’t quite overlook, but obviously it depends on the individual book.

2 stars – I have quite a few issues with this book, and I just didn’t enjoy it that much. I just didn’t get out of the book what the author put in, but I can still appreciate that some people would like it. It’s just not for me.

1 star – I didn’t like this book and probably have huge problems with various aspects of it (whether it be plot or character etc) which I just cannot ignore. Basically, I do not like it and I do not recommend it.
